Every day in the field reveals something new. A male Kirtland’s Warbler singing in new territory, a feeding frenzy of Bohemian Waxwings and Pine Grosbeaks in a January snowstorm, or a massive fallout of migrating passerines on the Lake Superior shoreline–events like these are what make birding my lifelong passion.
As your birding guide, I find fulfillment in connecting you with nature and working hard to create opportunities for observing birds and other wildlife. Birds will be our primary focus, but I will be quick to share with you the diversity of northwoods butterflies, dragonflies, flowers and herpetofauna (reptiles and amphibians) as conditions allow.
Borealis Birding offers multiple styles of guided tours. Group tours of 8 to 12 participants are the heart of my business, but I am pleased to offer private outings for individuals and smaller groups. I am eager to assist you with adding new species to your life or year list. Likewise, I am happy to assist photographers looking to spend extended time photographing their subjects.
